ROE Dental Laboratory’s goal is to push the limits of digital technology. The digital frontier reached full dentures a several years ago, and ROE Dental Laboratory embraced it whole heartedly.

The milled denture option has been generally considered the premium method of denture product, especially the base portion. However, there have been obstacles to this modality becoming mainstream, primarily due to only one vendor from which to outsource. This option was expensive, left little control to the laboratory technician, and mostly required gothic arch tracing. When the milled option did become available with the laboratory, there were still cost and time barriers. Today, however, there is Ivotion, a lab-fabricated digital denture from Ivoclar that provides high-strength, excellent esthetics, digital design, reasonable price, and hands-over full control to the lab. This option, unlike all previous, is a singular nest-mill production process using dual-colored, Ivocap industrial-processed pucks, which contain both pink base and tooth material all-in-one. This incredible invention is milled as a single structure, which offers solutions to barriers. Ivotion offers the combination wear resistant, fracture toughness, high esthetics, efficiencies, and the best part, teeth that do not pop out.

High strength is the highlight of this product. Dentures are fragile. Teeth come out. Dentures are dropped and stepped on. They wear, fracture, crack and in general are a necessary nuisance to the patient and dentist. But, with fracture-free toughness, Ivotion delivers a peace-of-mind unlike any other denture configuration.

It has excellent esthetics. We are extremely impressed with the highly polished Ivocap base and teeth, the anatomical contour, lifelike appearance, and high-shine. With the absence of many hand-touched finishing variables of conventional dentures, Ivotion gives the appearance of the highest quality.

Further, digital set-up and design brings a level of precision unequalled by traditional methods. After completing many thousands of digital dentures, ROE has experienced less resets, processing errors and patient dissatisfaction than before. Tooth-setting software consistently places teeth against opposing dentition or denture teeth better than people. Superimposing patient photos, changing full set-ups due to 3D views, automated equilibration, and programmed curves of spee and wilson bring a level of precision unequalled before.

Ivotion is perfect for traditional and implant supported overdentures. Due to digital record storage, refabrication is easy making it ideal for a patient who has a history of losing their denture, breakage and high wear. As we continue to produce Ivotion, the number of options will continue to increase. Thank you Ivoclar for bring this to the laboratory industry.
