What one dentist is doing to help calm the fears of patients on returning to the dental practice for needed treatment.
The impact of the coronavirus pandemic over these last months has left many dental patients and their families feeling uneasy about the safety of transitioning back to their normal dental routines. The challenge for dentists as they reopen their practices is establishing and communicating the extra safety measures they have put into practice to ensure not only their patients’ health and safety but also that of the entire dental team.
In this video discussion with denture patient and blogger Kristi Lind, Dr. John Nosti addresses her fears about returning to the dental practice and outlines the changes he and his dental team have instituted to protect patients as they begin to return to the practice for needed treatment. From monitoring the body temperatures of staff and patients to adding enhanced operatory infection control measures and staggering scheduling for safely controlling patient in- and outflow to the office, Dr. Nosti helps alleviate Lind’s fears and emphasizes the need for patients to not wait too long before visiting the practice for routine and necessary procedures.
