Concealed Margin Beveling Technique and Tetric Prime composite ensure optimum esthetics in Class III and Class IV anterior cases

Esthetically restoring anterior teeth compromised by Class III or Class IV caries often poses a challenge for the restoring dentist. This is especially true when the anterior margin of the restoration extends to the facial surface of the tooth. Traditional beveling techniques often result in a visible demarcation between the composite and the natural tooth structure or a demarcation that becomes visible over time. Placing a Class III or Class IV restoration in the esthetic zone that truly disappears relies on the restoring dentist creating a concealed margin and selecting a highly esthetic restorative composite material that not only masks the underlying tooth color but also mimics the light optical properties of the remaining natural tooth structure.
