Take the guess work out of zirconia stain infiltration with Zenostar VisualiZr liquids.
Zenostar VisualiZr color concentrates can be mixed with Zenostar Color Zr liquids to render the infiltration of Zenostar restorations visible. They are available in three colors; Red, Blue, and Yellow. Additional colors can be produced by mixing the VisualiZr color concentrates. The coloring pigment burns out fully during sintering.
Before staining prepare your materials. It is recommended that a small amount of Zenostar Color Zr and VisualiZr liquids be poured into another jar to avoid dipping directly into the bottle. Any zirconia dust that may be on the brush could collect in the coloring liquid and contaminate it. After use, the coloring liquid can be saved in the separate jar. Use VisualiZr liquids sparingly; 2 drops per 2ml of Zenostar Color Zr.
Start the infiltration of the coloring liquids by applying the appropriate body shade (A-D) horizontally around the margin, inside and out. Then apply the color in a vertical direction toward the cusp tips. The chroma should be carried fairly close to the cusp tip, to avoid a high value area in the occlusal 1/3. Next, apply the chroma to the occlusal table as desired, as well as the intaglio surface to achieve a depth of color on the occlusal fossae.
Using the appropriate incisal shade, apply the coloring liquid to the cusp tips and ridges. This can be several applications, depending on the desired incisal effect. You may wish to stain the outer and inner incisal area. You may also use the appropriate effect shades on the occlusal for additional customization. For example, brown can be used in the depth of the occlusal pits to deepen the color.Once the coloring is finished, the crowns then need to be dried and sintered according to the recommendations in the Zenostar instructions for use.
