Ivoclar Vivadent congratulates Robert Ganley, President and CEO, on being named among dental technology’s 10 most influential people. Aegis Communications, publishers of Inside Dental Technology, announced the findings of a recent readership nomination poll in the August 2016 (Vol. 7, No. 8) issue. Ganley was nominated for being a visionary who truly transformed the dental technology landscape by innovating disruptive processes, technologies, and products that altered the profession, readers said.
Ganley’s leadership and passion for innovation has led to the development of premier all-ceramic restorative materials, including IPS e.max, as well as comprehensive digital solutions and processes for dental laboratories and practices to provide quality, esthetic dentistry. As a leader throughout the dental industry, Ganley’s vision has also helped to differentiate Ivoclar Vivadent products and solutions as those that create real value for the company’s customers and partners.
Since joining Ivoclar Vivadent 36 years ago, Ganley’s leadership has enabled the company to remain a worldwide leader in dentistry through growth and expansion. Under his direction, Ivoclar Vivadent has grown significantly, with 3,300 employees now working worldwide in 25 countries, and the company’s products continuing to enable greater predictability, enhanced esthetics, and longer-lasting restorations.
Ganley earned an undergraduate degree in mathematics and a graduate degree in business administration. In 1980, he joined Ivoclar Vivadent as a Vice President and was named President of Ivoclar Vivadent North America in 1990. In 2003, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Ivoclar Vivadent, AG, in Schaan, Liechtenstein. As the CEO of Ivoclar Vivadent, AG, Ganley is responsible for the worldwide business of Ivoclar Vivadent. He spends half of his time in Europe and half in North America.
